RISK management & SAFETY PLANning

Our work continues with communities throughout BC to provide Safety Planning & Risk Management Strategies for bike parks & trail networks. From the initial design through to final construction, we provide project oversight and implementation partnering with some of the world’s leading builders.

Since 2020, our work continues with the City of Langford and a team of the worlds top extreme athletes and builders to create a Safety Strategy for the Jordie Lunn Memorial Bike Park, Gravity Zone & Nature Trails. We continue to work with communities throughout BC to provide planning and risk mitigation strategies for bike parks and trails.

assess, design & plan

From bike parks to trail networks, we partner with communities to create Trail Master Plans and Bike Park Site Plans to provide layout and design for the development of recreation infrastructure. These include itemized cost projections, detailed site prescriptions, and GIS layering with detailed POI based for ground-truthed plans.

For additional detail, we’re able to provide detailed schematic drawings for budget presentations, public outreach and the contractor-ready RFPs.

aMTB
Adaptive mountain biking

We continue to advocate, design, build and develop opportunities for adaptive riders.

The aMTB movement is growing globally and as this new frontier develops, we are working with adaptive athletes to create a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure adaptive trails are built to the highest possible standard while fulfilling the specific needs of riders with spinal cord injury.

WORKSHOPS & TRAINING

LEVEL I & 2
Drawing upon years of practical experience we have developed a series of workshops for all trail types including motorized, MTB, aMTB, hiking and multi use. We offer a Level 1 and Level 2 workshop teaching the foundational and advanced skillsets to build sustainable trails for all user types.

RISK MANAGEMENT
Our Risk Management workshop is essential for personnel who manage and maintain public accessed trails. This one day course provides clarity of your legal and regulatory requirements to create effective strategies that mitigate liability exposure while providing a reasonable degree of public safety.

aMTB
For those wishing to develop adaptive trails, our aMTB workshop is aimed at building world class, barrier free trails relying on our work with adaptive athletes to create trails that are progressive, safe and fun.

STRATEGIC PLANNING
This is for trail associations who want to create a Strategic Plan that serves as the blueprint for the future.
